The taper is a 7 1/2″ 3pc. 5wt. of my own design based on my cascade rod. the rod has a med  to med fast action with an almost automatic fly turnover, even with less than perfect casting stroke.  Oven tempered unblemished bamboo with  the finest quality  hardware.
